Hot Women Need Special Pajamas for Night Sweats
You don’t have to be a woman of a certain age to require the best pajamas for night sweats. From puberty to menopause, a woman’s life is nothing but one big hot hormonal roller coaster.
Thanks Mother Nature!
I’m not quite old enough to start going through the change of life, but I’m having some kind of hormonal shift because I get hot as heck at night. It’s an almost nightly thing for me to wake up with a soaking wet gown. Gross.
So short of sleeping nude in the deep freeze, I’ve had to take matters into my own hands and give Mother Nature a kick in her butt. I put performance sheets made specifically for night sweats on my bed and I went looking for cool pajamas for night sweats to sleep in.

What are the Best Pajamas for Night Sweats or Hot Flashes?
My mother always told me that natural fibers were the best thing to wear because they breathed and supposedly kept you cool. It’s a common misconception. A lot of people think that. But when if you’re a sweaty sleeper, certain natural fibers are definitely NOT something you should sleep in.
Shhh….don’t tell Mom she was wrong!
The best pajamas for night sweats are the ones that are made with performance fabrics. Newer synthetic fabrics are made with a technology that can sense when you’re getting overheated, adjust itself accordingly, and wick any moisture away from your body.
If you’d rather sleep in natural fabrics, there are some that work better than others. (HINT: It’s not pure cotton!) Keep in mind they won’t work quite as well as the pajamas made from performance fabric but they’ll still keep you cool and dry.
In this post I’ve listed what I consider to be the best pajamas for night sweats. Two are made from performance fabrics, and two are made from natural fibers. But all of them will help you sleep cool and dry.
My Favorite Wicking Pajamas for Night Sweats: Cool-Jams Sleepwear
To me, Cool-Jams sleepwear are the best pajamas for night sweats hands down. They’re made from smart fabric designed specifically for women who suffer from night sweats. And believe me, they know how to keep you cool.
The performance fabric in Cool-Jams can sense when you’re getting too hot. It wicks sweat away in record time, which allows for maximum evaporation and cooling. The result is a pair of pajamas that knows you’re getting hot almost before you do, and cools you off quickly.
The Cool-Jams fabric technology is pretty cool. They go into more detail about how and why their sleepwear keeps you cool on their website.
Bamboo Pajamas for Night Sweats: A More Natural Option
A lot of people would rather sleep in natural fabrics, and I get that. If you’re looking for eco-friendly sleepwear, natural bamboo pajamas are one of the best ways to stop night sweats.
I’ve never slept in bamboo pajamas, but I have slept on bamboo sheets. Bamboo fabric is unbelievably soft and my sheets definitely kept me cool. I wouldn’t hesitate to try bamboo pajamas for night sweats.
Bamboo fabric works almost as well as performance fabrics when it comes to its moisture wicking ability, so I don’t think you’d be sacrificing any quality in these bamboo pajamas. If being green and eco-friendly is important to you, I’d definitely try bamboo pajamas first before I moved on to performance fabrics.
Top Pajamas for Night Sweats Women Love: Haralee Sleepwear
Haralee is a brand of moisture wicking sleepwear I hadn’t heard of until recently. They have their own proprietary fabric that wicks sweat away from the body and is odor resistant and antimicrobial.
Did I also mention they’re environmentally friendly and non-toxic?
Their pajamas are made from Chito Santé treated fabric. I had no clue what this was, so I had to look into it. It doesn’t sound like natural fibers, but it is.
Haralee’s fabric treatment is all natural and made from shrimp and crab shells. Sounds gross, but the result is a soft, moisture resisting pajama that works wonders for those of us who suffer from night sweats.
Chemical Free Cool Pajamas for Night Sweats: Softies Night Clothes
It’s been a goal of mine to live as chemical free as possible. That’s why I really like Softies. They’re free of chemicals and they’re another eco-friendly choice if you sweat while sleeping.
Personally, I like Softies because they don’t look like grandma nightclothes. (No offense to the grandmas!) But just because I sweat doesn’t mean I want to look like a frump when I go to bed. 🙂
Softies are moisture wicking sleepwear are anti-microbial and don’t pill or fade. When it’s time for me to replace some of my night clothes, I’m definitely going to consider buying me some Softies.
Cool Sleepwear=Night Sweats be Gone!
Waking up in the middle of the night in a pool of sweat is not the way I want to spend my nights. I’d rather do something productive…like, I don’t know, sleep?
Just changing your sleepwear is not going to cure your night sweats. When you’re figuring out how to sleep cool, it’s best to sleep on pillows and sheets designed to keep you cool, and by developing cool habits to help keep you comfortable.
Now, I know I can’t fight Mother Nature. Eventually I’m going to have full on hot flashes. I can’t stop her, but I sure can outsmart her by wearing the best pajamas for night sweats that keep me cool and dry!
